A sequence of shots from the April 2014 total luna eclipse.
It was a pretty busy night above Sedona, Arizona the night I decided to give star stacking another try. One airplane seemed to deliberately fly around and around while my shots were going off. At the time I was not amused, but it did add an interesting touch to this shot after all.
The eclipse reaches totality. I put two tele-extenders on my 80-200mm lens to get enough power to make this a viable shoot. I had a blast shooting over the course of 5 1/2 hours in the middle of the night. I'd get up, shoot and then go back to bed for 15 minutes. I repeated this over and over until I had the entire sequence of the eclipse.
