Sunlight pops through winter storm clouds illuminating a bend in Salome Creek. This vista off the A-Cross Road is one of my favorite place to shoot this gorgeous creek.
Horseshoe Lake sits below majestic peaks lit by a break in winter storm clouds. This lake on the Verde River is more of a flood control feature than a recreational destination with miles of wilderness and primitive ranch land north to Camp Verde.
It rained like crazy one afternoon while I was in camp near the Black River. The sun poked out and created this sun shower like I'd never seen before. I broke out my point-and-shoot camera while my big Nikon DSLRs were high and dry in my bag.
