Apache Lake is along a string of lakes on the Salt River. The other lakes include Roosevelt Lake to the east and Canyon, Saguaro and Tempe Town Lakes to the west.
Fossil Creek flows along near Child's Road.
Monsoon clouds are reflected in the chocolate colored waters of the Little Colorado River. The water is flat and calm before the big drop at Grand Falls. This seasonal flow during the spring and late summer looks like the blend in my daily cup of coffee and creamer.
