Mill Avenue Bridge Kaleidoscope
This composite is from a panoramic image of the Mill Avenue Bridges over Tempe Town Lake. This was my first kaleidoscopic image inspired by a time lapse video by Michael Shainblum. In his video "Mirror City," traffic is seen moving through the streets of several U.S. cities with buildings looming overhead. I was so impressed by his work, I had to see what my images would look like with this simple mirroring technique. In combination with my normal panoramic images, the results are like jewelry with a contrast of realism and abstraction of the subjects.
