The Hotel Westward Ho is one of the most recognizible buildings in the downtown Phoenix area. It was completed in 1928 and was the tallest building until 1960. Unfortunately, the hotel fell on hard times and closed in 1979, but reopened a couple years later as housing for senior citizens. The Federal Building, at left, was built during the years 1932-1936.
