THE VERDE RIVER AT CAMP CREEK

After visiting Bartlett Lake, I drove down Camp Creek wash to the Verde River. This is a great place for ATVs and 4x4s. It narrows down into bizarre set of undulating cliffs before reaching the Verde. You can see the tail end of the cliffs in this shot. Driving through the wash I noticed the clouds intensifying. By the time I got to the river, they had formed into the most interesting shapes. Do you see the dolphin? I snapped a couple quick shots before the setting sun put everything in shadow. |
