ROOSEVELT LAKE BRIDGE |
Roosevelt Lake Bridge seems like the gateway to Roosevelt Lake, but actually is more in the middle of the lake. To the left is the dam as well as the observation point and parking lot. Here's a shot of the dam. And a different shot of the bridge... I was out to explore the back road around the north side of the lake. I made a loop from the Apache Trail south to Hwy 288 across the Salt River. FS 60 is a few miles up the road and extends 24 miles across the foothills of the Sierra Ancha Mountains roughly paralleling the lake. The A-Cross Road, as FS 60 is known, then hooks back up with Hwy 88 north of this bridge. Here are some other shots up Hwy 288 a little further near Parker Creek. |
