Shot from right along side the road on the first morning in the Petrified Forest National Park. I was excited to be in a new place with the conditions looking good for photography. I knew a storm front was coming in and would put clouds in the sky. It was actually two storm fronts over the course of 4 days. The second storm front was supposed to bring 12 inches of snow. I entered the park from the south, 18 miles southeast out of Holbrook. It was 197 miles door to door from Phoenix.
