PAPAGO PARK |
Know for it's distinctive red sandstone geological features, Papago Park is a popular picnicing, hiking and mountain biking destination between Phoenix and Scottsdale in Tempe. The park also features the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Garden, a fire fighter museum and Hunt's Tomb (a pyramidal tomb of Arizona's first governor, George W. P. Hunt). The Rolling Hills and Papago Park Golf Courses and several small fishing lakes. A spring training baseball facility rounds out this most diverse park. |
