COTTONWOOD WASH

After the stream crossing, I found this giant cottonwood stand in the middle of a huge wash. The trees were beginning to take on fall colors. I found it interesting the sun-facing side of the stand had turned a bright yellow. But the other side was still green.

To the left is a desert broom releasing it's seeds for the season. It was a windy day and all the fluff in the air made it look like a snow storm.

Dont miss the coyote tracks in the immediate foreground.

I usually don't shot too many roads, but this spot was different. And I was glad I stopped to shoot it.
