VOLCANIC PLAIN NEAR GRAND FALLS

Sometimes the most simple landscape is sublime for reasons hard to explain. And more often than not, the landscape you get home with is no where near as impressive as when you were standing there. This volcanic flow near Grand Falls on the Little Colorado River was no exception. The lava appeared to be organized into rows...almost a grid. I doubt humans had anything to do with it, but it didn't seem natural either. Most likely this is the line the lava flowed when the volcanos nearby were active.
