DESERT SUNSET

Size

After having a great day shooting on the Salt River, I pulled the Trooper over to take advantage of this beautiful sunset. It's hard to pass them up when they go off like this. I had stalked this sunset earlier and tried to shoot it, but it wasn't happening. So after driving a few more miles down the road, it finally did it's thing. I scrambled up a small hillside in a fury to set up the tripod and not miss it. It only lasted for a couple minutes and was at it's peak even less time. The little hillside I came to a screaching halt at was a perfect vantage point and couldn't have worked out better.

A tiny sliver of the Salt River can be seen to the left and the orange stripe through the desert is the reflection of the sky off the water.
