It wasn't far up the road past Ouray that I came upon this roadside stream. There were a couple big switchbacks in the road and this stream was in one of the kinks. I walked 50 feet to a spot to take it in. The water was so fierce it was white... It was a great contrast to the red, iron-rich rock around its banks.
I couldn't believe how green the pine trees were. The soft light really made the colors pop. This is a classic example of how amazing HDR photography is and how it captures all the richest colors even on a cloudy day.
