14 miles from Fountain Hills on the Beeline Hwy to Payson is access to the Four Peaks wilderness area. A rugged road snakes its way through the desert and up the side of the mountain to the four peaks. It's a great drive for high clearance vehicles. The road goes all the way up to a saddle where a short hike takes you to the picturesque peaks. The road then drops down the other side to Roosevelt Lake.
